Platforms. Blogs. Email lists, newsletters, marketing, oh my! H E LP !!!!!
Authors - or just plain old writers if one is not actually published - are expected to market themselves.
This little author went to market...this little author stayed home. First little author is selling, Second little author sold none.
Blogs are not only expected these days, they are practically law. My friends know I have always used Facebook as my method of sending thought waves through the air to the world, but it seems I must learn to blog. Oh, blogging is a piece of cake - I can write a blog post with my brain tied behind my back. But the technical side of it all, the setup, the nuts and bolts that one must tend to behind that curtain - aye, there's the problem.
This is my experiment, my test to see if I can make this work.
I can't help but wonder, however, when one spends one's time marketing, when does one actually write a book?
